California Trip

I LOVED going home to California! We had so much fun seeing family, going to Disneyland, Kirk and Michelle's, and the beach. It was hard to come back home. We first stayed with Rob and Kimberly (my brother and his wife). We were pretty much spread out everywhere. Scott and I slept on the L shaped sofa in the family room. They were so nice to host us and two different family get togethers to fit everyone in. We saw Tina and Florian and Vivi (step sister, her husband, and step mom) on Saturday and then on Memorial day my mom, sister Susan and her husband Mo and two of her kids, Anthony and Autumn. My step brother (my mom's step son) Greg was there too. Swimming, grilling, and fun times!

We left Rob and Kimberly's that evening to check into our motel at Disneyland. We spent three days at Disney and six nights in the motel. We stayed at the Alpine Inn. It was just around the corner from Disneyland. We usually stay across the street, but we were trying not to spend as much. Big Mistake! It was only a 15 minute walk, but when you are tired from a long day at the park, the last thing you want to do is take a long walk to your hotel. There was no shuttle. We don't like to deal with the shuttles anyway. We hate to wait for them:) Next time we will spend extra and stay closer. Poor Ryan had several blisters on his feet from the swimming pool and had a hard time at Disneyland. But all in all the hotel was very clean and a good deal. Disneyland was a blast as always!

to have a Chef's salad a couple of times and a Turkey club another time.

Celebrating Jacob's 10th birthday at Main Streets Gibson Girl's Ice-Cream Parlor.

Yum! At City Hall Jacob got a pin saying "Happy Birthday" and we

all got pins saying "We're Celebrating!" Staff and cast members all

over wished Jacob a Happy Birthday. 

ANOTHER great and cool diversion and break. The

Main Street Cinema where they play old time Mickey Mouse

cartoons.

On the canoes. This was the first time we did this.

It was fun to go around the river and do something different.

Yet ANOTHER diversion! This was on the third

day and Daniel said, "Why didn't we do this yesterday?"

Why didn't we?  We always make a point to do it and the
kids always love it. They love all the running around and
getting their wiggles out.
